Important Announcement

Dear Valued Client,

At The Med Spa of Kingwood, your safety, wellness, and satisfaction remain our highest priorities. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care while remaining fully compliant with Texas state regulations, we are implementing a Good Faith Exam Fee of $30, (Price may very dependent on medical service) effective immediately. This fee is required under Texas Administrative Code Title 22, Part 9, Chapter 169, which governs physician delegation in med spa settings. It ensures that every client receiving medical aesthetic services has undergone a proper evaluation by our Medical Director or NP/PA team. This exam is conducted once per calendar year, unless there is a significant change in your health status, such as a hospital stay or new diagnosis. Prescription Exams such as Tirzepatide and Semaglutide exams will be conducted as needed for refill approvals.

What This Means for You:

  • The Good Faith Exam Fee will be collected annually.
  • It supports our compliance with the Texas Medical Board and protects your right to safe, physician-supervised care.
  • Your exam will be documented and securely stored in accordance with HIPAA and updated telemedicine record keeping laws (HB 1700, effective Sept 1, 2025).

Why This Matters

Texas med spas are evolving to meet new safety standards. In response to recent legislation such as HB 3749 (“Jenifer’s Law”), many practices are:

  • Posting the name and license number of their delegating physician on-site
  • Updating staff name badges to reflect credentials
  • Enhancing documentation for IV therapy and telehealth services
  • Ensuring all medical procedures are performed under proper delegation and supervision

We are proud to be at the forefront of these changes, and we thank you for your trust as we continue to raise the bar in client care and compliance.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule your annual Good Faith Exam, please contact our front desk team. We’re here to support your health and beauty journey every step of the way.

With gratitude, Jennifer Miller Owner & Clinical Director The Med Spa of Kingwood
